This picture shows cotton through its various states in the process to make it fit for use as a weaving yarn. I collected these pieces of cotton at a machine demonstration at mosi. I found the process of altering something so natural, something from a plant interesting. The way people harness a commodity for there own gain. The whole process in the cotton industry relied on continuous repetition.
